If you're looking for small-town charm, Dillon has it. The town
overlooks Dillon Reservoir, making it the perfect summer getaway. In winter, skiers and riders who want to be central to all of the ski areas - but not smack dab in the middle of tourism - live here. Condominiums dot the circumference of the lake, giving each unit a stellar view.
The town is home to the Lake Dillon Theatre, an award-winning theater, as well as a number of wonderful restaurants, a bowling alley, a ball field and a lakeside park.
The Dillon Marina provides a boat launch, rentals and a tiki bar. The lake is especially popular for sailing, though plenty of motorboats occupy the lake as well. A path winds around the perimeter of the lake, allowing people to take in the spectacular view of the lake and mountain peaks as they walk or bike.
The town comes alive in the summer, hosting free family concerts at the Lake Dillon Amphitheater, which overlooks Dillon Reservoir.
The Dillon Ridge Market Place, off Highway 6, includes local and national retail stores, as well as a movie theater.
Dillon Valley lies across the highway, where many locals live because it is a little more affordable. Summit Cove is located a few miles down from Dillon, and it is also a more affordable residential area.
