Breckenridge Theater and Arts

For a small community, Breckenridge Colorado delivers some amazing live theater productions. Broadway leads have performed in the local theaters, because Summit County is where they spend down time. Local actors consistently bring strong vocals and compelling acting to the mix. The Denver Post awarded the Backstage Theatre in Breckenridge with several Ovation awards. The theatre also has won many honors through the Colorado Community Theatre Coalition. It’s the oldest company in town — it started out with black-capped villains and white-hatted heroes performing in bars and has matured to offering a variety of comedies, musicals, dramas and kids’ workshops.

The Breckenridge Arts District is becoming more and more popular as it expands its offerings. Weekly classes for adults and youth include painting, pit-firing ceramic ware, beading, mosaics, landscape and wildlife photography, Native American Medicine Shields, silk painting and tie-dying, writing, clay pots, wildflower magnets and printmaking. Space 2 Studio offers an alternative art studio for teens. Expand your mind and your creativity as you learn a new artistic skill.
