This 5000 square foot vacation home has been specifically designed to gracefully accommodate large guest groups. Boulder Ridge Lodge combines an elegant standard of quality with exceptionally functional design and prime ski-in access on Peak 8.

One of the home's most unique features is its innovative bed design which allows each guest group to select either king or extra long twin bed configurations. Such flexibility provides for the privacy and special needs of families, friends and corporate groups. The outdoor hot tub, rec room with pool table, game room loft and study provide areas for separate activities as well as group gatherings. A spectacular state of the art kitchen, rich western themed furnishings and meticulous attention to detail make this home a favorite among repeat guests,

Kitchen and Dining
The large, open kitchen (new in December, 2002) is designed as a focal point of the home. A 28' granite bar/counter orients toward the living room and assures ample space for multiple cooks as well as interested onlookers. The 48" Dacor range with 2 ovens and Ventahood, stacked Thermador microwave/warming drawer/convection oven, Sub Zero refrigerator, 2 Kitchen Aid dishwashers, trash compactor, Scotsman clear ice-maker,, 2 separate sinks and knotty alder custom cabinets create an exquisite setting for weekend cooks as well as professional caterers

The spacious dining room features a wrought iron chandelier, 4X10' alder table, 12 ladderback chairs with pinto fabric seats and an antique Persian rug. A cozy breakfast nook offers glorious views of the mountain and seating for 8.

Sleeping Arrangements
Sleeps 20-24 in 8 spacious bedrooms with 61/2 baths. The home can be configured to have up to 20 individual beds or arranged in 6 kings and 1 queen. Five bedrooms have private baths, 3 with tiled steam showers complete with benches. The bed options available in each room are described below. Tell us which options fit the needs of your group, and we'll have the right beds ready when you arrive.
Upper Level: 1. Imperial Suite: Choice of king or 2 extra long twins (sleeps 2) plus twin size day bed (sleeps 1). Private bath with steam shower, vaulted ceiling, TV, superb views of ski area. 2. Sundown Suite: Choice of king bed or 2 extra long twins (sleeps 2). Adjacent bath with tub, vaulted ceiling, superb views of ski area. 3. Study: Trundle bed (sleeps 1 or 2). Shares adjacent bath with Sundown Suite

Main Level: 4. Four O'Clock Suite: Choice of king bed or 2 extra long twins (sleeps 2) plus fold-out youth sleeper. Private bath with steam shower, vaulted ceiling, direct access to deck and hot tub, views of ski area. 5. Spruce Suite: Choice of king bed or 2 extra long twins (sleeps 2). Private bath with steam shower, TV, vaulted ceiling, views of distant peaks and the Blue River Valley.

Lower Level: 6. Bunk Room: 2 sets of adult size extra long twin bunks (sleeps 4). Ski area views, adjacent bath with tub. 7. Claimjumper: Choice of king bed or 2 extra long twins (sleeps 2). Ski area views, adjacent bath with shower. 8. Studio: Queen Murphy-style wallbed (sleeps 2) can be folded out of the way to create a comfortable dayroom complete with kitchenette, TV, loveseat and lounge chair grouping. Ski area views, shares adjacent bath with Claimjumper.

Living Room
The massive two-story, river rock wood burning fireplace welcomes friend to the rustic living room. Large windows offer superb 180 degree views of the ski slopes, Ten Mile Range and distant peaks of the Blue River Valley. The cedar-clad and beamed ceiling, hickory plank floor, sturdy southwest furnishings, Oriental rugs and magnificent mounted buffalo head capture the ambience of a mountain lodge. Books, games and a media center with 36" TV, DVD, CD player and VCR promise hours of entertainment in a homey and comfortable space.

Rec Room
The comfy lower level rec room is equipped with a pool table as well as a large sectional couch and media center with a 27" TV, VCR, DVD, CD player and radio. A wet bar, under counter refrigerator and microwave make snacking convenient.

Game Room

The second floor loft provides a large round table and 6 upholstered chairs for serious card games and leisure activities. The telescope can zero in on distant peaks or stars.

Off the game room, French doors open onto a study with vaulted ceilings, windows on 3 sides, desk and fax machine. A trundle bed and dresser permit the study to also function as a comfortable eighth bedroom if needed.

Hot Tub Suite
An 8 foot diameter Artic Spa, recessed into the cedar deck, can accommodate 8 people. Soak up the spectacular view of Peaks 7 and 8 while relaxing in the private backyard setting.


The 55' redwood deck faces south, rewarding afternoon sun seekers with warmth and a splendid view of the ski area. Deck chairs, picnic tables, a natural gas BBQ at the west end and the spa at the east end provide many reasons to enjoy the outdoors, even on sunny winter afternoons.

Additional Amenities
Children's Sleds/snow saucers; snow shoes, oversized 2-car garage with ski tuning bench, heated paved parking area and basketball net offer additional fun and convenience. A short path (about 20 yards) connects the backyard to Peak 8 base area. The Nordic Ski Center with snow shoe and ski trails is within walking distance on marked paths through the magnificent woods across the street.
Next to the Peak 8 base area parking lot, it is a short walk to the lifts and summer activities.

Note: The exceptional quality of this home requires a $750 damage deposit.
