Wildernest is located up a winding road, in Silverthorne. Condominiums line the street, as well as a small percentage of single-family homes. It is a popular place for both visitors and locals to rent. A small grocery and gas station sit at the bottom of the hill.

The Wildernest Colorado region provides easy access to the Eagles Nest wilderness and is surrounded by national forest. It is an excellent gateway to hiking and biking, as trails wind around the top of the mountain.
