Keystone new development
By now, you’ve probably heard that Keystone’s new gondola in River Run shortens your walk from the parking lot to the slopes. The base of the gondola is near Green Light and the ski school offices, so you no longer have to cross that last bridge to get to the gondola. In addition to saving walking time, the gondola will also be 30-40% more energy efficient than the resort’s other lifts.
And, Keystone is putting in more than a new gondola. The latest development is called One River Run, located in what was the Hunki Dori parking lot. Construction will start on the west end and move east, creating 180 units that look (and serve people) like a luxury hotel. The complex will offer 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom units. Pre-sales should start in December, with groundbreaking in spring, 2009.
The Mountain House, the original base of Keystone, will also undergo a transformation, which will include 588 new properties.
