Most of the Dillon homes for sale in the town of Dillon, part of Corinthian Hill (across the highway from Lake Dillon) and Dillon Valley are older, as these areas have very few vacant lots available.

Homes in the town of Dillon range from those that are on or near the shore of Lake Dillon to those tucked away closer to the other edge of town, in an area that doesn't border the lake. As you might imagine, single-family homes near the lake are highly sought after and don't come on the market often, since they offer the best of in-town living within a stone's throw of the lake.

The established Corinthian Hill and its newer neighboring development offer a mix of older and more current homes. Each home provides a spectacular view of Lake Dillon and snow-capped mountain peaks. Newer homes reach well above $1 million in price, but the view alone is worth it - and just wait until you see some of the homes, which range from contemporary to classic mountain architecture.

Dillon Valley is an older residential area with an elementary school nearby. Many locals buy into Dillon Valley because it is more affordable than other areas in Summit County. Some of the homes have been updated, while others need remodeling. Dillon Valley provides a nice neighborhood feel with some mountain views, though it offers no views of the lake.

Summit Cove, closer to Keystone and near the outer edge of Lake Dillon, is a neighborhood with a mix of older and newer homes. Handsome homes began to spring up a few years ago when new subdivisions opened up vacant lots. Many locals live in Summit Cove because it tends to be one of the more affordable areas, and it's also a convenient location for renters who work at Keystone. It is the closest Dillon neighborhood to Breckenridge, as the town is a windy drive over Swan Mountain Road, then a short distance along the highway.

Summerwood, high above Lake Dillon, offers newer luxury Dillon homes and duplexes that you can't see from the road, but you can see from the lake. The homes sit perched on a rocky cliff, high above the shimmering water, creating a dramatic effect. The lower end of Summerwood has older, more modest-priced homes that you can see from the road.
