Blue River offers a solution to living near Breckenridge more affordable. The town is located approximately just south of Breckenridge, at a slightly higher elevation. The area houses a population of about 800. It is made up of mostly single-family homes; there are two condo complexes in Blue River. Many people buy real estate there because it is more affordable than Breckenridge.
